EXHIBIT: STEVE JOBS, THE VISIONARY

At this exhibit, the public can see the rich world of Steve Jobs. There are pictures, personal objects, movies, reports and historical products showing how one of the biggest personalities of the 20th century thought and created. The inspiration for the exhibit came from a show on the Apple creator held in Italy; however, it has been implemented in a totally original way in Brazil. Presented by the Ministry of Culture and Bradesco, Steve Jobs, the Visionary is also sponsored by Cielo with support from Superga. Executed by the Fullbrand Italian-Brazilian agency with co-execution by the MIS.

The Elton John Tribute & Rocket Band is a show featuring the trajectory of Sir Elton John on the music scene with the biggest hits of his career. Sung by conductor and singer Rogério Martins, the singer’s only official representative in Brazil, and his faithful band, the Rocket Band.

FESTIVAL: COALA FESTIVAL

The Coala Festival 2017 is being held Saturday, August 12, starting at 11 AM at the Praça Cívica at the Memorial da América Latina. The festival is known for bringing together major names in Brazilian popular music, mixing established and up-and-coming artists as well as lots of art – all in just one day. The lineup for this edition features Caetano Veloso, Emicida + Rael + Fióti, Liniker e os Caramelows, Rincon Sapiência, Tulipa Ruiz and Aíla, as well as DJs.

Moana doesn’t like to be called a Princess; she just says she is the “chief’s daughter.” But she doesn’t shirk her responsibility. Her village is suffering from a terrible curse that directly affects the land and the sea. With scarce fruit and fish, the fearless daughter of the chief decides to cross the reefs and save her land. And Moana is chosen by the sea to go after the demigod Maui, who stole Earth’s heart and triggered the curse. To do this, she has to cross the ocean and get Maui to return Earth’s heart; only then will her people be saved. A mega production where the stage becomes an ocean of emotions. With musical numbers, comedic characters and lots of adventure.

Celebrating the band’s 25 year anniversary, the pop rock trio of Hanson, which has been nominated for various Grammies, officially announced its “Middle of Everywhere 25th Anniversary World Tour” early this year, with shows in Europe, North America and Australia quickly selling out. Now they are announcing new tour dates, this time in Latin America, where they will visit Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Chile, starting in August.

EXHIBIT: DESIGN IN BRAZILIAN AVIATION

The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution under the São Paulo Secretary of Culture, has partnered with Instituto Embraer to show the world of creation in Brazilian design for items made to fly. As an institution dedicated to matters of design, the show features the case of success of Embraer S.A., which, since its founding in 1969, has bet on the innovative potential of engineering and national creativity. Upon entering the museum, a timeline shows the history of Brazilian aviation, with three-dimensional models of aircraft in 1:50 scale, from 1709 to 2017, showing planes produced by independent initiatives and other companies in addition to all of the series created by Embraer.
